Youth exchange „Intercultural Paintings 2012”- Switzerland
The project of intercultural paintings 2012 was held in the Solothurn in the interkulturelle Kreativwerkstatt a small union of local artist. From 12 till 23 August 30 volunteers from 6 different countries (Macedonia, Bulgaria, Russia, Spain, Georgia and Switzerland) gather together to create paintings and also try to sell them.
The main idea was to paint on canvases in order to create written paintings with text on different languages. Volunteers used various techniques.
All the participants were staying in the same house, and they take care of everything like cleaning and cooking. Also each country had a day dedicated to their culture, they cooked traditional dinner and were showing some traditional dances. So the participants had the chance to get to learn more about different cultures and traditions.
During this exchange, except painting, they had many other activities like going hiking, swimming, a bazaar day and a lot of free time to do what they want.
On the last day on their stay, they had an exhibition of their art work and also one small performance.
The whole exchange was great experience for all of them.
