The Leadership Workshop 2012
On 26th October, the PTPI Skopje Student Chapter held a Leadership workshop. The workshop was held at the same time as the previous one from 14h until 16:30h at the Youth Cultural Center Skopje for all the PTPI members. Also, we had training for the PTPI team officers. The workshop and the training were leaded by our adult advisor Stevica. The workshop was organized in order the new member to get some experience in how to make the right decisions about events or project which will be held in our chapter.
The program was the same as at the previous workshops, learning through fun games, but this time we also had a “traditional” way of learning including a discussion. The training course for the team officers was repeating what we knew and learning what we should know about being one of the team officers. The games that were used this time were “Passing the ball”, “chess field “, and making three possible situations in which we had three teams and their task was to make a house with minimum material and in a specified time. Every game had a different purpose. The first one was learning which is better to have team with a leader or without leader and how to make the best strategy in order the team to show the best results. The second one, was also about learning how to lead a team and taking the responsibility for the team members. The third one, which according to me was the most important, was how we define the leader, his characteristics and which type of leader is the best one for the team. After the games, we had a discussion and every member had a chance to express their opinion about what does it mean to be a good leader. Stevica had the final words by giving his opinion and some useful tips. And also thanking us for the participation. I can truly say that every member, that was part of the workshops, was fully satisfied with the opportunity to learn more about working in team and being a leader.
